Last week, Donald J Trump's twitter account was deactivated for eleven minutes. It was deactivated by a employee on their last day of work. This resulted in anyone who visited or tweeted Donald during this time, where faced with the message “Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!”. During the brief period his twitter account was offline, speculation was on meltdown!

Twitter issued a statement:
“The account was down for 11 minutes, and has since been restored. We are continuing to investigate and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again”
Soon afterwards Twitter then released another statement:
“Through our investigation we have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer support employee who did this on the employee’s last day. We are conducting a full internal review”
“It’s like owning your own newspaper – without the losses”
Trump is a huge fan of the Twitter and has over 40 million followers, he uses the platform on a regular basis, and said in 2012 - “It’s like owning your own newspaper – without the losses” Even though he is now the President of the United States, his twitter usage hasn't declined, and he has been know to pick fights with other world leaders, including North Korea.
Of course as we all expected, he had something to say about his account being suspended.
Suspending Accounts
Twitter has very clear guidelines when it comes to suspending twitter accounts, Milo Yiannopoulos (Technology editor at Breitbar) was banned permanently after a prolonged hate campaign towards Ghostbusters actor Leslie Jones. Azealia Banks, Rapper had her account suspended after she tweet racist comments to singer Zayn Malik.
Rose McGowan was suspended for 12 hours after she tweeted a private telephone number violating Twitters terms of service and Courtney Love had her account suspended in 2011 during a lawsuit, when she ranted against the fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir.
I guess it's only a matter of time before President Trump is suspended again, but maybe this time due to him violating the terms of his agreement...
